Ristorante Nostra Pizzeria

Dear Guests,

we would like to extend a warm welcome to you in our Ristorante Nostra Pizzeria. The restaurant is housed within the walls of an old farmhouse dating from 1712. The solid old masonry is a reminder of the hotel's long-standing history.

When Corina and Bertram Hissung took over the Engadinerhof in 1998 their wish was to enrich the gastronomic scene in Pontresina with a restaurant which was open to the public. But before they could even think of putting this idea into practice the old building needed to be extensively refurbished.

For 20 years the rooms were used by Frau Elisabeth Schäfli of Pontresina for her handicrafts shop. When she went into well-earned retirement, the time was ripe to turn the restaurant project from a dream into a reality.

The Ristorante Nostra Pizzeria was fitted out in only 8 months. This meant searching for the right materials for the various rooms as well as for craftsmen to carry out the work. The family Hissung took delight in carefully choosing furniture, buying the cutlery and arranging the decorations. Their aim was to create a welcoming, cosy atmosphere in which their guests would feel completely at ease and be glad to return.

As far as our dishes are concerned, quality has the highest priority. That means using only fresh ingredients, so the preparation can take a little time. We hope you appreciate this and bear with us!

We wish you a pleasant and enjoyable evening!
