Whether you would like to ski or to snowboard, there are pistes to fulful every wish. The various skiing areas around Corvatsch, Corviglia, Diavolezza and Lagalb give you unlimited choice. For cross-country skiers the Upper Engadine is simply paradise. There are 180km of prepared trails. The trails have been laid in the most attractive areas such as the quiet side valleys Roseg and Morteratsch, or crossing the frozen lakes.
Pontresina can also offer its guests a floodlit night trail and of course a school for cross-country skiing (Fähndrich Sport), together with specialist sports shops which provide full services and advice.

 

 

The Engadine is also very attractive for those who want to explore it on foot. 150km of prepared winter paths lead hikers and ramblers through snowy woods, along the banks of the Inn and the shores of the lakes or through the secluded Roseg and Morteratsch valleys.

Well then, what about skating, curling (also for beginners), toboganning at Muottas Muragl, tandem paragliding, guided snow shoe hikes, sled dog rides, horse-drawn sleigh rides, riding or skiing tours? There are many major winter sport events to look out for, such as the cross-country marathon, the Cartier polo games, horse races, greyhound and sled dog races.
