Welcome to our Ristorante “Nostra Pizzeria”. You are surrounded by the old walls of a farmhouse from 1712, specifically in the farmstead’s former cowshed. The Engadinerhof had not had a public restaurant any more since the hotel’s takeover by the Hissung family in 1998. The plaster was crumbling here and there and a lot of renovation work had to be done before we could even think of a restaurant. For 20 years these premises were used by Ms Elisabeth Schäfli from Pontresina as a textile and clothing shop. When she started her well-deserved retirement in April 2003, we took the opportunity to convert the building. The Ristorante Nostra Pizzeria, a cosy and rustic restaurant in the Tuscan style, was built within eight months. You can find photos of the conversion works in the corridor on the way to the toilets. We celebrated the official opening of the restaurant on 3 December 2003. 15 years later, in December 2018, the restaurant was renovated. We completed replaced its interior: Terracotta tiles gave way to slate look flooring, the rustic plastered walls were smoothened and painted in a warm grey, the former simple wooden furniture was replaced by high-quality leather chairs and heavy tables. We also purchased new lamps, table runners, crockery, silverware, menus and slates for the chef’s recommendations. Quality is important to us, which is why all our dishes are freshly prepared, and this takes time. We thank you for your patience!
