Pontresina is located at an elevation of over 1,800 meters and, with about 320 days of sunshine a year, is a true paradise. Our historic hotel, built in 1905, has been under new management since 2024 and is embarking on a new chapter: Together with a team of long-time employees, we are modernizing the hotel and its operations step by step. For the 2026/27 winter season, we are looking for a motivated and service-oriented individual who enjoys breaking new ground and will actively support our Chef de Service in the half-board restaurant.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the Chief of Service's representative in all matters
- Shared responsibility for ensuring that service runs smoothly in the half-board restaurant
- Active participation in serving breakfast and dinner
- Warm hospitality for our domestic and international guests
- Training and Orientation for Service Staff
- Assistance with scheduling, ordering, and inventory counts
- Monitoring of Quality, Service, and Hygiene Standards
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Completed training in the food service or hospitality industry, or equivalent
- Several years of experience in customer service, ideally in the hospitality industry and with some leadership experience
- Experience working with intercultural teams
- A strong sense of hospitality and excellent interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills, resilience, and flexibility
- Excellent knowledge of German and English; Italian is a major plus
- A neat appearance and a professional demeanor
- EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland
