Pontresina is located at an elevation of over 1,800 meters and, with about 320 days of sunshine a year, is a true paradise. Our historic hotel, founded in 1905, has been under new management since 2024 and is embarking on a new chapter: Together with a team of long-time employees, we are modernizing the hotel and its operations step by step. For the 2026/27 winter season, we are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who enjoys breaking new ground and who can independently manage the kitchen of our Pizzeria Alpin.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the kitchen at Pizzeria Alpin as the sole chef under the supervision of the head chef at EngadinerHof
- Preparation and Presentation of Our À la Carte Dishes
- Preparation of pizzeria dishes and desserts in the hotel's main kitchen
- Ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly, even on hectic days
- Compliance with HACCP hygiene and quality standards
- Ordering Goods, Inventory Management, and Food Quality Control
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Completion of a chef training program (EFZ) or equivalent training is preferred
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in a pizzeria or working with Italian cuisine
- An independent, organized, and reliable work style
- Resilience and Job Satisfaction in a Seasonal Business
- Proficiency in German, English, and/or Italian
- EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland
