Pontresina is located at an elevation of over 1,800 meters and, with around 320 days of sunshine a year, is a true paradise. Our historic hotel, built in 1905, has been under new management since 2024 and is embarking on a new chapter: Together with a team of long-time employees, we are modernizing the hotel and its operations step by step. For the 2026/27 winter season, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual who enjoys breaking new ground and can independently manage a position in the kitchen of our half-board restaurant.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently managing a station in the hotel kitchen
- Preparing and Plating the Dishes for Our Half-Board Menus
- Planning and Organizing the Mise en Place for Your Station
- Guidance and Support for Commis and Apprentices
- Participating in menu planning and contributing your own ideas
- Compliance with HACCP hygiene and quality standards
- Monitoring product quality and assisting with inventory management
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Completed training as a chef (EFZ) or equivalent training
- At least 2 years of professional experience, ideally as a chef de partie or demi chef de partie in the hospitality industry
- An independent, organized, and reliable work style
- Team spirit, resilience, and a passion for working in a seasonal business
- Proficiency in German or English; knowledge of Italian is a plus
- EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland
