Pontresina is located at an elevation of over 1,800 meters and, with around 320 days of sunshine a year, is a true paradise. Our historic hotel, built in 1905, has been under new management since 2024 and is embarking on a new chapter: Together with a team of long-time employees, we are modernizing the hotel and its operations step by step. For the 2026/27 winter season, we’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and service-oriented individual who enjoys breaking new ground and will manage our half-board restaurant on a part-time basis.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility for service at the half-board restaurant
- Leading, planning, and coaching an intercultural team of 7 to 8 people
- Organizing and ensuring a smooth service process
- Providing proactive guest support and ensuring a high level of service quality
- Liaison with the kitchen, front desk, and hotel management
- Monitoring of Quality, Service, and Hygiene Standards
- Assisting with day-to-day operations and, when necessary, taking on a leadership role
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Completed training in the food service or hospitality industry, or equivalent
- Several years of leadership experience in customer service, with a proven track record of working with intercultural teams
- A strong sense of hospitality and excellent interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills, resilience, assertiveness, and the ability to improvise
- Strong communication skills and a well-groomed, professional appearance
- Excellent knowledge of German and English; Italian is a major plus
- EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland
