Pontresina is located at an elevation of over 1,800 meters and, with around 320 days of sunshine a year, is a true paradise. Our historic hotel, built in 1905, has been under new management since 2024 and is embarking on a new chapter: Together with a team of long-time employees, we are modernizing the hotel and its operations step by step. For the 2026/27 winter season, we’re looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who enjoys breaking new ground and who, as a warm and welcoming host, will take over the management of our pizzeria—a place with a relaxed, Italian, laid-back, and youthful vibe.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the service team at Pizzeria Alpin as a passionate host
- Actively participate in and assist with ensuring that lunch and dinner service runs smoothly
- Staff planning and management of the service team, as well as actively fostering a positive, motivating team culture
- Responsibility for the atmosphere and attractive decor of the pizzeria
- Placing orders (beverages and service supplies) and inventory management
- Development and implementation of sales strategies to promote upselling
- Close and proactive coordination with the head chef (Good to know: The pizzeria kitchen is coordinated and managed from the hotel’s main kitchen, so smooth communication between the two is essential)
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Completed training in the restaurant industry and/or management experience in a similar position, service experience
- Exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership qualities, and a hands-on approach
- Warm and welcoming hosts with a knack for creating a relaxed, Italian atmosphere
- An independent, organized, and reliable work style
- Resilience and a passion for work in a fast-paced seasonal environment
- Excellent knowledge of German and Italian (English is a plus)
- EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland
